# How to change your units, appearance and profile

A tour of Settings in Phork It! covering your account, About you, nutrition goals, Metric or US units, auto-convert, auto-translate, dark mode and more.

Everything you can set up lives in the **Settings** tab, the last tab in the app. Here's what each part does.

## Account

**Account** shows your email. Tap it to **Sign out** of this device or **Delete account**. If you're trying Phork It! without an email, **Add your email** sits above it.

## About you

Your answers from the welcome screens, which you can change any time: **Name**, **Allergies & intolerances**, **Diet**, **Favourite food** and **Why you're here**. Tap one, change it and tap **Save**. These belong to you only.

## Preferences

- **Nutrition**: compare recipes with standard daily values, or turn on **Use my daily goals** and set your own targets.
- **Units**: choose **Metric** or **US**. Under **Recipes**:
- **Auto-convert** (on by default) opens every recipe in your units. Turn it off to open recipes exactly as written.
- **Show metric equivalents** adds millilitres beside cups and spoons.
- **Auto-translate** (off by default) translates recipes you import in another language into English.
- **Appearance**: **System** follows your phone's light or dark mode, or pick **Light** or **Dark**. The **Ingredient pictures** switch is here too.

> **Note:**

Units, nutrition goals and your profile follow your account, so they're the same on every device. Appearance is saved on each device. Metric always comes with °C and US with °F.

## Feedback, About and Legal

- **Send feedback** reports a bug or shares an idea with our team.
- **What's new** lists recent changes to the app.
- **Terms of Service** and **Privacy Policy** open our legal pages.
- The version line at the bottom (for example "Version 1.0.0 (12)") is handy to include when you report a problem.

## Things you can't change yet

- **App language:** the app is in English for now. Recipes in other languages can be translated with one tap.
- **Email address:** you can't change your account's email yet.
