# How to sign in on another phone or in a browser

Use the same email to sign in on a new phone or at phorkit.com/app. Your recipes, plan and shopping list follow you everywhere.

Sign in with the same email on any phone or in a browser, and everything is there: your recipes, plan, shopping list and cooking history. You can stay signed in on as many devices as you like.

## On another phone

**1. Install and open Phork It!**

On a new phone, tap **I already have an account** on the first welcome screen.

**2. Enter the same email**

Tap **Continue**. We email you a 6-digit code.

**3. Type the code**

You're in, with everything where you left it.

## In a browser

**4. Go to phorkit.com/app**

On your computer or tablet, open [phorkit.com/app](https://phorkit.com/app).

**5. Enter your email and tap Continue**

The browser always needs an email account.

**6. Enter the code**

On **Check your email**, type the code and tap **Continue**.

> **Trying the app without an email?**

Add your email first, in **Settings** › **Add your email**. Without one, you can't sign in anywhere else, and your recipes stay on that one phone.

## Signing in with the email link

The sign-in email has a code and a **Sign in** link. The link only works on the phone where you asked for the code. Opened on a computer or a different phone, it shows you the code instead: type it into the app.

## Signing out

Open **Settings** › **Account** › **Sign out**. That signs out only this device. Your recipes, plan and shopping list will be there when you sign back in.

## Good to know

- Each device stays signed in until you sign out there, or until you haven't used Phork It! on it for 90 days.
- Changes show on your other devices within moments.
- Appearance (light or dark) is set per device; everything else follows your account.
- To switch to a different account, sign out first, then sign in with the other email.
