# How to plan your meals for the week

Put saved recipes on the days you'll cook them, choose servings and options, drag meals between days and clear the plan when you start over.

The **Plan** tab shows what you're cooking and when. Put any saved recipe on a day, pick how many it's for, and move things around as the week changes.

## Add a meal

**1. Open the Plan tab**

You'll see today and the next six days, then any later day that has meals.

**2. Choose a recipe**

Tap **+** next to a day, or tap the ⋮ menu at the top and choose **Add from recipes**. Type in **Search your recipes** to find one quickly, then tap it.

**3. Pick the day and servings**

In **Add to plan**, pick a **Day** (the calendar box opens any later date) and set **Servings**. For a recipe with options, tick the ones you'll make.

**4. Tap Add to plan**

The meal shows on its day.

> **Tip:**

Already looking at a recipe? Open its menu and choose **Add to plan**. It starts at the servings you were viewing.

## Change, move or remove a meal

- **Change it:** tap the ⋮ next to the meal, choose **Edit**, change the day, servings or options, and tap **Save**. If the meal's ingredients are on your shopping list, they update to match.
- **Move it within the week:** press and hold the meal until it lifts, then drag it to another day or up and down within a day. For a day further out, use **Edit**.
- **Remove it:** tap ⋮, then **Remove**. If it has items on your shopping list, you can choose **Remove meal only** (the items stay) or **Remove meal and items**.
- **Start over:** tap the ⋮ menu at the top and choose **Clear plan**. Every meal from today on goes; meals you've cooked stay in their recipe's history.

## Look back

Tap the ⋮ menu at the top and choose **Past plans** to see earlier days, newest first. You can still mark those meals as cooked from there.

## Good to know

- You can plan up to the end of the month three months from now.
- There are no separate breakfast, lunch and dinner slots. Put a day's meals in the order you'll eat them by dragging.
- Tap a planned meal to open its recipe at the planned servings and options. Cooking it from there ticks the meal off on your plan.
- Plan changes made in the browser show up on your phone too, and the other way round.
