# How to share a recipe or a collection

Send anyone a link to a recipe or a whole collection. They can read it in any browser without an account, and save their own copy in Phork It!.

Share any recipe as a link. It opens a web page with the whole recipe and a credit to the original creator, and anyone can read it without an account. People who have Phork It! can save their own copy.

## Share a recipe

**1. Open the recipe**

Find it in **Recipes**.

**2. Tap Share**

Open the recipe's menu and choose **Share**.

**3. Pick where to send it**

Your phone's share sheet opens with the link. Pick an app, like Messages or WhatsApp, or copy the link.

A recipe has one link: sharing it again sends the same one.

## Share a collection

Open the collection, tap its menu and choose **Share**. The link opens a page with every recipe in the collection, and each recipe opens in full.

## What the other person sees

- The recipe, its photos and a link to the original video or page.
- Servings and Metric or US units they can change, and lines they can tap to cross off as they cook.
- Estimated nutrition and likely allergens.
- A tidy version for printing: use the browser's **Print**.

Never on the page: your name, your ratings or notes, your cooking history or anything else about you.

If they have Phork It!, **Save to my recipes** (or **Save collection**) opens the app and saves their own copy. Changes they make to it don't affect yours. Until the app is in the stores, the page offers to join the waitlist instead.

## Who can see a shared link?

Anyone who has the link. It isn't listed anywhere, and search engines are told not to show it. When you edit the recipe, the page shows your changes within a minute or two.

> **Turning a link off**

There's no button to turn a link off in the app yet. Deleting the recipe stops its link working. Or email [hello@phorkit.com](mailto:hello@phorkit.com) and we'll turn it off for you.

## Opened inside TikTok or Instagram?

Links to apps and app stores often don't work inside TikTok's or Instagram's built-in browser. If you see **Open in your browser**, tap ••• at the top and open the page in Safari or Chrome. Or tap **Keep reading here** to read the recipe where you are.
