What Phork It! reads in a video
Phork It! reads what the creator wrote and said:
- the caption,
- what's said out loud (the video's subtitles, or its speech turned into text),
- on TikTok, the creator's own comments, where the amounts often are,
- and the recipe page the video links to, if there is one. When it's the same dish, the recipe comes straight from that page, photos and all.
It doesn't read text that only appears on screen in the video. If the ingredients are only shown on screen, or the caption just says "recipe in bio", Phork It! can't find the whole recipe and tells you so instead of saving half of it. Try the creator's written recipe on their website.
The video stays where it is
Phork It! keeps the written recipe and its pictures, never a copy of the video. Every recipe names the creator and links back to the original, so you can always rewatch it. Tap the credit under the recipe's title to open it.
