Recipes don't disappear on their own. Usually you're signed in with a different email, or something was deleted. Here's how to work out which, and how to get things back.
Check which account you're in
Open Settings and look at Account. It shows the email you're signed in with. If it's not the one you usually use, sign out from SettingsAccountSign out and sign in with the right email.
You were trying without an email
If you started Phork It! without an email and then signed out, deleted the account or lost the phone, there's no way to sign back in to that account, so its recipes can't be brought back. We're sorry: next time, add your email from SettingsAdd your email as soon as you want to keep things.
You deleted a recipe
There's no undo button, but:
- An imported recipe comes back if you import the same link again. It comes back as it was first imported, without any edits you'd made.
- A recipe saved from a share link comes back if you save the same link again.
- A recipe you typed or pasted in can't be restored from the app. Email [email protected] and we'll see what we can do.
You deleted your account
Sign in with the same email within 30 days and everything comes back. After 30 days it's erased for good.
Shopping list items disappeared
Items leave the list when you tap Finish shopping (everything in the cart) or Clear list, when you remove their meal from the plan and choose to remove its items, or when the recipe is deleted. Add them again from the plan or the recipe.
The app suddenly asked me to sign in
That happens after 90 days without using Phork It!, or after the account was deleted on another device. A bad connection no longer signs you out in the latest version: if it did, update the app. Sign in with the same email: nothing is lost.
